Tanner Rowell

PASTOR

Tanner has been serving in ministry for 10 years, beginning his calling at just 16 years old. He recently completed his Associate of Arts in Christian Ministries from Leavell College at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Hill Spring Baptist Church and teaches Bible Class at Cottage Hill Christian Academy.

Tanner has a deep love for preaching the Gospel and seeing people come to know Jesus Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit. His heart is to faithfully share God’s Word and see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel.

Tanner and his wife, Adrianna, have been married for five years and are grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord together. Adrianna is a graduate of the University of Mobile and enjoys singing, reading, and supporting Tanner in his ministry. Outside of ministry, they love spending time together and making memories with their families and friends.

Senior Pastor

Sloan & Karson Jenkins

ASSOCIATE & WORSHIP PASTORS

Sloan and Karson Jenkins have been married since 2013 and have shared a heart for worship ministry since 2016. Together, they have a passion for serving the Lord, building relationships, and helping others grow in their faith.

In addition to leading worship, Sloan and Karson lead a young adult small group called The GAP and oversee the church’s social media platforms. They love creating opportunities for people to connect, grow together, and become more involved in the life of the church.

Sloan works as an accountant at a local hospital, while Karson serves as a special education paraprofessional, a role she is deeply passionate about. Their greatest blessing is their son, Clayton, who keeps life full of joy and adventure.

Terri Smith Shaw

PIANIST

Terri is a native of Hoosier who moved to Mobile and joined HSBC in 2015. She has played the piano since she was seven years old and loves to worship the Lord through her gift of playing. Terri also worked as an educational teacher for 30 years and a piano teacher for 35 years. She is married to her soulmate, Gary Shaw.

Tammie Jenkins

SECRETARY

Tammie is a native of Mobile, married to her husband, Coach Jenkins, since 1980. She has served as church secretary since March 2019. In her spare time, she plays the piano and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Becky Dees

TREASURER

Becky resides in the Tanner Williams Community and has been our church treasurer since our church was known as Spring Hill Avenue Baptist (quite a long time!). She and her husband, Jerry, love the Lord and both have a servant’s heart. In her spare time, Becky enjoys cooking.
